Exercise Patience and Provide Value First
Too many business owners and salespeople go for the sale way too fast. It's important to exercise patience and provide value first to your audience. This has been the secret for centuries, and so many have lost this idea of providing value and solving people's problems. Sales are nothing more than finding out what people's problems are and then providing them a solution.
I hear people say all the time, “I hate sales or being a salesperson.” Well, if you have a business, you are a salesperson. You don't need to be the slimy sales guy who is doing everything in their power to get out people's credit card. There's a much better way, and your potential clients will love you for providing them a solution by providing value to their lives.
First, let's talk about the type of value you should be sharing on a daily basis.
Create content which educates, informs, makes people think, provide tips, and any other advice to get your audience to engage with you. Create content to raise awareness about the solutions you provide. This is going to help your potential clients be more open to your products and services to solve their problems.
When you provide content which ultimately helps your audience on a daily basis. Your audience will be more open when you actively ask for the sale. It's because you've proved that you care about them when you are continually giving them content to help them. In return, they will feel good about buying your stuff.
Remember, if you are more concerned with making a sale…it's not going to happen. You may make a few sales here and there, but it's going to be so much harder, and you'll always have to be in “Sales Mode”. Which in the big picture is going to burn you out, when you ultimately help others you are going to get so much more out of how you make people feel than how much money you get out of them.
What kind of content do I post Paul?
I am so glad you asked!
- What are the benefits (not the features) of your product/service?
- How does your product/service help people?
- How does your product/service make people feel?
Types of Content you should create based on the above:
- Create short videos of how your product/service makes people feel.
- Create video testimonials with past clients on what or how your product/service helped them.
- Take pictures of happy past clients with your product/service.
- Create blog posts which share a few tips to create curiosity about your product/service.
- Create short status updates about the benefits to sharing on your social networks. Make sure to include some picture to get better engagement.
- Share stories about how your product/service can make a difference in people's lives.
Too many entrepreneurs make it more difficult than it is or is way to critical on how your content will look. Here's the thing, people do business with people they know, like and trust. When you create your content, make sure you are genuine and real. It's also important to share your passion in your content about your product/service. When you share your passion, your potential clients will feel it and will be more open to taking a closer look based on how passionate you are.
I hope this was helpful for you today, and if it were, I would appreciate some love. You can share the love by sharing this with your audience as I know this will help someone today.
