Knowledge is Power
People often think that the only way to be successful, in whatever work or business you begin, is to have a thorough knowledge of what you are doing. If you have all the knowledge, then you will be successful. That, however, is not true at all!
Of course, you need the knowledge, but whatever work or subject you are approaching has had years' worth of research and work are done on it already. Therefore, to think and expect yourself to master all of that is nearly impossible.
I am not saying this to discourage you or to stop you from trying to learn more about your forte, but I am here to guide you about what to add into this and pull yourself higher in network marketing.
Your success also depends on other factors which make you the sort of person you are on the whole. These are divided into intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic is how you see yourself, which we have already discussed. External factors have to do with your environment, your background, your friends, and peers.
So the first thing that we will tackle today is what sort of an environment you have made for yourself. The people create a climate in it, and that is what we will talk, people you surround yourself with your friends.
The teaching I go with is that to be a success at whatever you do; you should immerse yourself in success. By success, I do not just mean to become friends with all the great entrepreneurs and marketers, rather surround yourself with people who encourage you at all times, who believe you to be capable of doing everything and becoming successful.
And why is this important? That is because negative influence goes a long way. It messes up with how you think and act, making you doubt everything about yourself and capabilities. It inculcates pessimistic approach you, and you begin to fear trying out new things, experimenting and making all those moves which would have worked perfectly for you. So make sure that the people you hang out, whom you consider your friends or those with whom you spend a considerable amount of time with are those who encourage you, at least do not say anything negative that will stress you out and put you in a state of frenzy.
I have had friends like these. It was toxic to be around them every day because they were affecting my thought process, my faith negatively. So what did I do? You can not just end friendships in a day; it would take the time to cut yourself away from someone. So I decided to cut down the time I was spending with them. I enjoyed their friendship, but I did not like the effect it was having on me, so I slowly pulled myself away.
This has helped me to this day, so much so that even when I meet up with these friends, occasionally I do not get affected.
Start doing this from today. Immerse yourself in success; you will find it to go a long way!
Tomorrow we'll talk about how sometimes you have to fail your way to success.
