People often ask questions about which products to market in order to make a lot of sales within a given period of time. The reality is this… it’s not about the product!
If it is not about the product, then what is it about?
Firstly, people buy from people they like and if you keep this in mind you are doing yourself a huge favor! Secondly, promote something you are passionate about in order to build your brand easily. Lastly, drop the hype and start to stuff value down people’s throats. I say this harshly because marketers start off in this online industry pitching and thinking that they are going to make a bunch of sales by spamming their lists, forums and other major platforms with affiliate links. The reality is people will buy from you as soon as you earn their trust because they know they can buy a product of value from you! Makes more sense to market the right way now right?
How do I market the right way?
Okay so now we want to cover how we shall market the right way. Here are 4 tips to keep in mind when marketing products to your followers:
– Sell the benefits: don’t just say a product will help them get rich. Explain how the system works and what they will need to do in order to start making sales. Mention that it will entail hard work and this will rule out the people who will make your life miserable because they can’t see results within a week, envision success and put in the hard work.
– Why do they need it? You can start by mentioning how you have benefited from the product; people like personal stores. Moving forward, you can then ask them to envision their why and explain how the product can help make it a reality for them.
– Mention the cons: Mention something you don’t like about the product you use and possibly come up with a solution. I know this sounds averse in online marketing but mentioning the con will make you sound like a real person and it will make you stand out from the rest of the hype!
– Offer a bonus: it’s all about the bonus! Make people want the bonus more than they want the actual package. Ensure the bonus goes hand in hand with what you are offering and it will draw more people towards you. Example in my case, I offer people who join my team access to a membership site which shows them how to build a website from scratch, generate traffic, stand out as an authority etc. I also offer them access to a Facebook group which shows them step by step how they can produce results for any given product they promote and sometimes (for selected products), and finally, I offer a 1-to-1 coaching call so that people know they are going to get all the help they need in order to succeed in their business making them want to select me over other marketers.
Build relationships with your list and followers, be the mentor you always wanted to have and always provide value. Do this and I promise the sales will follow because people will want to work with someone of value.
